Life is a merry-go-round and round…

We often wonder what people think of our design work when they see it for the first time. Would anyone care to understand the hours and days of design iteration involved in developing something as simple as a circus carousel? Another one of our favourite design pieces, the Circus Carousel for Archie Brothers at Chadstone Shopping Centre, was a long and challenging process in understanding the limits of materials and the space where this structure would eventually reside. And let’s not forget the hours of negotiating and compromising due to strict public safety codes. The result was so pleasing, the execution met all our expectations, and best of all, anyone who sits there instantly drifts off to a time of carefree abandon. A special mention goes to Iris Wang, whose initial concept work was so glamourous, but unfortunately not within the limits of time and budget.
